About us

The Black Barn Event Planning believes that even the smallest details can have immense impact and meaning. We design dream events into reality and create events that are inspired by our clients envisioned wedding day without the stress. As your trusted wedding planner, I assist and take care of organizing the details, handle the logistics, help you stay within budget and provide you with support from beginning to end. I treat every wedding as if it were my own - planned with care and love. As your day approaches, with every box checked, we create and then execute our plan - all while you stay present in the joyous moments!

Full Service Wedding Planning

Pre-Wedding

  • Provide wedding guide
  • Wedding timeline creation
  • Creation of wedding checklist
  • Establishing priorities, develop, and track the budget
  • Ceremony + reception venue scouting
  • Vendor recommendations and bookings
  • Venue site walk through
  • Contract review
  • Guidance with creation and execution of a design scheme
  • Help with creation, selection and ordering of save-the-dates, wedding invitations, and all printed materials
  • Assist with creation and selection of wedding favors & accessories
  • Coordinate wedding party and guest transportation
  • General advice and consultation
  • 3 pre-wedding consultations
  • Attendance at vendor meetings (if available)
  • Confirm all details with vendors prior to the wedding
  • Facilitate the ceremony rehearsal - 1 hour of rehearsal time
  • Coordinate and schedule rehearsal dinner
  • Assist in ordering personal items needed for the wedding
  • Design a 3D venue diagram
  • Assist in selection of “Will you be my bridesmaid and groomsmen” gifts
  • Assist in booking and managing hotel room blocks
  • Advise on menu and beverage selection
  • Develop event enhancements like lighting, custom rentals, drapery, etc.
  • Remind clients when payments are due to each vendor
  • Ensure distribution of final payment and gratuity (if desired) to vendors
  • Plan closely with all of your vendors to ensure everything flows together seamlessly
  • Schedule salon and spa services

Wedding Day

  • Coordinator on site for unlimited amount of time, 
  • Direct the ceremony processional
  • Coordinate and assist with the setup of the ceremony and reception
  • Setup wedding accessories such as guest book, place cards, favors, etc.
  • Act as the point of contact for all vendors
  • Assist the family, wedding party and guests as needed
  • Ensure distribution of final payment and gratuity (if desired) to vendors
  • Have Bridal emergency kit on hand for use
  • Handle any unforeseen hiccups and obstacles
  • Assist with set up and tear down

Package starting at $2,500

Are you a busy couple that does not have the time or the know how to plan a wedding on your own? Do you want to be able to relax and actually enjoy the planning process, leaving the details for your planner to take care of, so you will not feel overwhelmed and stressed? Our Full Service Wedding planning package is for the couple who want a full-time wedding professional overseeing every aspect of their wedding day or weekend! As your behind-the-scenes wedding expert, we serve as your constant resource for making your planning process stress-free, enjoyable and memorable. With full service wedding planning, we are with you every step of the way, helping aid your decisions!

Partial Wedding Planning

Package starting at $1,500

Pre-Wedding

  • Provide wedding guide
  • Two pre-wedding consultations
  • Venue site walk through
  • Supply any needed vendor recommendations
  • Vendor contract reviews of remaining vendors needing book
  • Guidance with creation and execution of a design scheme
  • Construct a detailed wedding day timeline
  • Confirm all details with the vendors prior to the wedding
  • Facilitate the ceremony rehearsal - 1 hour of rehearsal time
  • Option add on: Design a 3D venue diagram for additional charge. 

Wedding Day

  • Coordinator on site for fourteen hours
  • Direct the ceremony processional
  • Ensure distribution of final payment and gratuity (if desired) to vendors
  • Coordinate and assist with the setup of the ceremony and reception
  • Setup wedding accessories such as guest book, place cards, favors, etc.
  • Act as the point of contact for all vendors
  • Assist the wedding party and guests as needed
  • Have Bridal emergency kit on hand for use
  • Handle any unforeseen hiccups and obstacles
  • Assist with set up and tear down
  • Option add on: Unlimited hours on site with coordinator for additional charge. 
Our Partial Planning Package is an ideal option for the couple who may have already completed portions of their planning and require less assistance than a Full Service Package. This package is designed to allow the couple a hands-on role in their planning activities along with our professional assistance to guide them along the way. 

Day of Wedding Coordination

Pre-Wedding

  • Beginning 2 months prior to day of wedding, I become vendor point of contact and take over
  • Provide wedding guide
  • One pre-wedding consultation 30 days prior to the wedding
  • Supply any needed vendor recommendations
  • Venue site walk through, if within 1 hour of Dayton, OH
  • Construct a detailed wedding day timeline
  • Confirm all details with the vendors prior to the wedding
  • Facilitate the ceremony rehearsal - 1 hour of rehearsal time

Wedding Day

  • Coordinator on site for twelve hours
  • Direct the ceremony processional
  • Coordinate and assist with the setup of the ceremony and reception
  • Setup of wedding accessories such as guest book, place cards, favors, etc.
  • Act as the point of contact for all vendors
  • Assist the wedding party and guests as needed
  • Have Bridal emergency kit on hand for use
  • Handle any unforeseen hiccups and obstacles
  • Manage set up and tear down
  • Option add on: Unlimited hours on site with coordinator for additional charge.

Package starting at $900

Day Of Coordination is a perfect option if you want to plan a majority of your wedding, but need a professional wedding coordinator in the background to answer questions, handle logistics, offer advice and coordinate the details on the wedding day so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your stress free, perfect wedding day! This package is perfect for the couple who has a little bit more time to devote to the initial wedding planning demands but wants to ensure they are set up for success and that all the final details will be taken care of. We work diligently so that you can soak in every special moment.
